I use the female body to re-examine and challenge the many preconceived ideals of identity and power that have emerged in western consciousness.

The Handless Maiden [1] myth tells of the feminine caught up in a devils bargain. Nevertheless, the maiden's inner strength reconnects her to trust and believe in her own ability and so as she draw her hands form the water her hands are restored to flesh and blood, she has become whole again.
